Jump from 15,000 feet over Cairns β with the Great Barrier Reef laid out beneath you in its full turquoise magnificence. Skydive Cairns is the only place in the world where you can freefall above a World Heritage reef while simultaneously seeing a World Heritage rainforest on the horizon.
The tandem skydive experience pairs you with an experienced, fully licensed instructor for the entire jump. After a thorough briefing and equipment fitting, you'll board the aircraft and climb to altitude before stepping out into one of the most extraordinary views on Earth.
Freefall lasts approximately 60 seconds at 220 km/h before the parachute opens for a gentle 5-7 minute canopy glide back to the landing zone. The entire experience β from briefing to landing β takes approximately 2-3 hours.
"The view of the reef from 15,000 feet is burned into my memory forever. I've done skydives in New Zealand and Switzerland and nothing compares to Cairns β the combination of reef, rainforest and tropical coast is extraordinary."
"I was absolutely terrified before and completely euphoric after. The instructors are so reassuring and professional. The video package is absolutely worth it β I've watched it 50 times."
"Did this on a whim on my last day and it was the best spontaneous decision of my life. The reef from above is incomprehensible. Get the video package β non-negotiable."
